“Worldview and the Word of God”

"Worldview and the Word of God" - God has given us His Word to teach us, to give us answers, to help us on our journey and if we do not take the time to read His Word, live in it and hear it we can never be what we need to be!

    “The Feast of Tabernacles”
"The Feast of Tabernacles" - Looking back at God's call to us at this feast is a call to rejoice and celebrate God's goodness and grace.  As we look ahead to the prophetic fulfillment, we find that God's call to rejoice is a promise of His tabernacling  with us at the fulfillment of all things!

    “Holiness 3”
Holiness 3--God never commands the impossible, but what He commands He gives us the strength for.  When we do not understand we need to look deeper and realize that God has promised us that He will provide us with everything that we need to follow His Word.

Why Pray When We Can Worry?

I hope you caught the sarcasm in the title of the blog.  Maybe you didn’t take the time to read the title you just started with the content and after reading the first sentence you looked up and saw it.  Whatever the case, I hope that I have your attention now and I hope you will think very seriously about what I have to say this morning.  I know that what I have to say is not important at all because of what I have to say.  But I also know that what I have to say this morning is important because we are at such a critical time in the history of our nation and our world.  I was being very sarcastic with the title of this blog and I hope in the next few paragraphs that I can give you something to think about that will help you to perhaps change some of the habits that you have that lead you straight to worry . . .

The Power of Choice

We’ve been given an incredible power by God – the power to choose.  God has given us the ability to choose to follow Him or to choose not to follow Him.  He has given us the choice to live our life according to His love and grace or to choose not to live our life according to His love and grace.  But there is an old saying that is so very pertinent here and that saying is, “With great power comes great responsibility.”  The responsibility that we bear in this choice whether to choose God or not to choose God falls on our shoulders and it is because God loves us so very much.

So, What Do You See?

Perhaps you’ve heard the story of the two men in the hospital room together.  One bed was beside a window and the other was not.  The man beside the window could get out of bed and look out the window and he would do so each day, describing the incredible beauty of the sights outside of the hospital room.  He talked about the beautiful lawns, the green trees, the flowers that were all around the scene and the beautiful cloud formations he saw.  The man in the other bed was facing a great deal of physical difficulties and couldn’t sit up or get out of bed and so he enjoyed the descriptions the man in the bed beside the window would share with him.  One day though the man beside the window passed away.  His physical condition was worse than he ever let on and after his death the man in the other bed was moved to the bed beside the window.
