God Has ALL This!

What a joy to tell you that we know today as we have always known that God’s got this.  But the thing is, in a situation we never ever thought we’d ever be in, I can tell you beyond the shadow of a doubt that God’s got ALL of this.  It doesn’t matter what you’re facing; it doesn’t matter where you are; it doesn’t matter whatever . . . God’s got it!  Let me share our story from the last 11 days!

Are We Listening?

If we are really going to communicate with one another, we have to listen!  There can be no shortcuts – there can’t be any “fudging” on this issue – communication involves listening.  Louis D. Brandeis, Lawyer and Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of the United States from 1916-1939 said, “Nine-tenths of the serious controversies which arise in life result from misunderstanding.”  If that is true, and to be honest I believe it is true, then it is vitally important that we cultivate the fine art of listening in our lives!  Unfortunately many times when we are having a conversation with someone, we are thinking about what we want to say next rather than listening to what the other person is saying.  As we’ve been emphasizing listening during this Lenten season, we have been especially zeroing in on our listening skills as we talk with God.  How vitally important that is.
